judging from the pic, i think it's pretty sick....i especially like how there's little detailing at the bottom, which makes me think it can be cropped slightly if necessary...anyone have idea what brand this is?
too bad its a whopping 545 :-(
ppl know of similar looking (and cheaper) alternatives?
Answer:
I think it's pretty neat, but seriously.. half a grand + for something made out of an old blanket?
edit: As for the brand, I guess it is Steven Alan.
Answer:
good point.
i wonder if it's made of surplus blankets that were never used. or blankets that were actually used :-/
that would make quite the difference for me
Answer:
Heh. I'd assume they are surplus. Who would buy a piss stained peacoat?
Answer:
Seriously, those old blankets are itchy as all hell. You couldn't pay me to wear one of those things.
Answer:
They are, apparently, cotton lined. But I see your point.
Answer:
i gotta believe the old blankets go through some kinda process where the roughness/itchiness or whatever negative is ironed out and the end result is a high quality coat - they wouldnt just scrap together blankets, forget about wearability, and sell it..
or would they...
Answer:
Most serious winter coats are cotton (flannel) lined.
Coats made from HBC striped and red point blankets are significant Canadian heritage pieces.
Answer:
ha ha. awesome coats. That's how I'd like to dress on the offensive if there's ever a war.
