On the off chance that the stripes aren't an absolute necessity: I just picked up
this down-filled vest at the local Lands' End ministore in Sears yesterday. Down for $25, can't go wrong with that.
The weight is good, no Michelin Man problem and could probably flatten down enough to layer with if it gets cold where you are. Sizing down gives a nice trim fit, too. The whole '70s-skiwear stripes are getting a little tired anyhow. :)
