That guy/shirt is pretty douchey looking, but I roll the sleeves (not flip the cuffs) on most of my button front shirts casually, if the climate is willing.

I do roll up my sleeves, especially if it's hot, but I wouldn't "flip" them once on purpose.
However, I have noticed that some shirts have nifty contrasting prints on that "flip" side. The only way you'd ever see them was to intentionally flip the sleeve; if you rolled it up fully they'd be hidden again.
So maybe there is a fashion movement in that direction ... I just don't think I'd be a part of it.

Ya'll mofos haven't seen this at all? I saw it all over the place in Vegas when I was there last month. I see it in Orange County...been seeing it for a while actually.

Ah, but which came first, the guys who flip, or the designers who encourage it? I have a Ted Baker shirt from a few years abck that has contrasting cuffs and collar. Maybe Paul Smith has done this as well? I have definitely seen it in mall stores recently.

I bought a shirt last year that has that contrasting flip print and I thought it was a nice touch. However, it never occurred to me that I was *supposed* to flip it and let the world see it.
From a theoretical standpoint, it might simply sell more shirts. Why have a plain old regular sleeve when you can have a sleeve with bling?

I've hated this since its inception dating back to I don't know when. I think I hate it more than you actually and it's always the amjacks with shirts that are too big. You are correct in that it is popular in OC (where affliction shirts are hot now) and vegas aka poser central.

haha yeah this is style is a vegas staple also. I think this style was born somewhere in the southern california area or possibly Vegas. Very popular and common in san diego, LA and las vegas areas. if you live in any of those places then you know what i mean. yeah i've done this before.
