Question:
Do these really tell us that a pair of jeans are on the higher end? I just returned from the mall and noticed a bunch of random mall brand jeans now have it too.
Answer:
No, not really.
Answer:
It's not as exclusive as it once was, now that Gap, J Crew etc. are jumping on the wagon. I mean their jeans are still pretty much crap. To me, selvedge is cool, but I don't necessarily need it. It's just that it's hard to buy the higher end stuff without it. Sort of like an option package where you don't really want the moonroof, but you can't buy that Lexus without one.
Answer:
i have a pair of GAP "selvadge" and i must say i'm not quite sure if it's actually "selvadge" because i have another pair of Levi and the 2 don't quite look the same.
but anyway, i think selvadge isn't really that important, and it doesn't affect my decision on buying jeans.
Answer:
If they're on sale they aren't crap :)
Answer:
It's state of denim...quality would be the way that the garment is constructed, in my eyes.
