I'm thinking about getting some Clarks in Black.
Do you prefer the Black Suede or the Black Leather.
And for what reasons?

I don't really like these in black, but I'd have to go with the suede.

Gotta be suede in that colour though i wouldnt wear black. The brown leather desert boots are very nice as are the brown suede.

suede is casual, black leather is decidedly less so.
There is no shoe this side of Vans that is more casual than Clarks, so black leather is a total mismatch. Black leather calls for structure, like chelseas or workboots or something with a Last at least.

I agree. Black leather Clarks give me the creeps. I have black suede Wallies that are a bit questionable.

i bought some wallabies in a light grey leather, but thats because i got a great deal. suede is usually nicer.
