Question:
I would post this in "ask a question" but i figure it's something that a bunch of other people might be interested in.
I'm looking for a pair of basic casual khakis that fit pretty slim for under $150, under $100 if possible. Nothing too dressy, but something i can wear with sneakers, and some other shirts. I haven't been able to find anything that's in my price range and seem to fit well. I know there are the more flat texture wise and the more textured twill like ones and i'd be interested in both. I was just wondering what you guys might know in terms of khakis.
Answer:
JCrew Slim Fit fits me pretty well on the slim side and under you budget.
Answer:
Uniqlo Vintage Chino, all the way.
Answer:
I have a pair by DKNY that I got from Loehmann's for $78. Decent cut, but for some reason theyre like 3% elastic, and get wrinkled easily.
Answer:
Do you have any other pictures of the uniqlo vintage chino? They looked kinda wide in the leg and had a fair amount of ass sag and wide hips on the 1-2 fits i've seen. If you have a pair, i'd love to see measurements to see if it'd work for me. Those are the ones i'm most interested in in this thread but i always thought they were a regular fit pair.
The jcrew slim fits did not work for me. The hips were really wide on me and i didn't like overall fit. Plus, they're just not slim whatsoever. Better than their off fitting regular fit, but not really what i'm looking for.
I really liked these johnbull ones i saw on rakuten awhile ago, but they never had my size and another pair of khakis on rakuten only had 31 inseam. Booooo!
Answer:
Uniqlo Vintage are slim, the other style is not (I think people have been confused by this). I will take measurements when I go home, I really like the fabric and the details. And the 34 is plenty long for me.
Answer:
The Uniglos are about as slim in the ass as a khaki can be.
Khakis that are real tight in the back look stupid and are hard to dress up.
Answer:
Banana Republic has a new "slim fit" for their pants. Haven't tried it yet, but was thinking of ordering either the Heritage linen suit pant or the striped pant.
Answer:
I've got the uniqlo vintage chinos. They're slim but not tight. I've got 29x32s and i'm 5'11" 135 lbs. My only complaint is they only come in one color (I think).
Answer:
Ive been looking for the same thing but in grey or black for sometime.

Answer:
I want some medium grey chinos too. A good grey seems hard to find though.
Answer:
I was in Uniqlo nyc just yesterday and they had "Vintage Flat Front" which is not the same I assume?
Were the vintage chinos from the fall season?

Has anyone trued incotex slacks to comment on them? I've always wanted to get a pair and the measurements make them seem quite slim, but perhaps they are too dressy? I don't know how you can be less/more with khakis, if they're all cotton?
