That end result is hilarious, but using coffee and other natural substances for overdye effects doesn't have to be this disastrous. I've done a green tea overdye on a pair and have been planning on doing something with coffee for a while now.

Answer:
A bit. There's a slight gold cast to them, but it's not as dramatic as I would have liked. Part of the problem is that you really need to use a lot more stuff (ground tea, coffee, etc) than I did, and part of it is that natural dyes like these just aren't that strong. It's kind of interesting, but I'll do it differently next time.
