I don't know how else to put it. I recently purchased a pair of Levi's 527 bootcut jeans. I like how they look, and by and large, I also like how they fit. The low rise, the nice slim fit through the butt and thighs, is really terrific. I really prefer fitted jeans, and the 527's fit the bill.
One problem I DO have is that the jeans fit tightly around the crotch and give me a case of male cameltoe. They don't fit THAT badly (I'm exaggerating slightly), it's just that the cut tends to, ahem, emphasize the male package a bit more than I had expected. There is little left to the imagination. My package is average and I'm not overweight. I can go one size up, but I like the silhouette overall right now.
Should I expect these jeans to stretch out in "that" area? These jeans are 100% cotton, so I expect some stretch over time. Or, should I expect the fit and silhouette to remain the same (more or less) after extended wearing? Would love to hear feedback from Levi's (especially 527) owners.

I was a little concerned when I first purchased my first pair of levis 527s. 527s definitely stretch in that region. What rinse did you purchase? I recommend washing these jeans as little as possible. I wore my 527s for about a month straight and when i was done, it was stretched out perfectly. Two of my favorite pairs of jeans in my entire collection are a pair of 527s that are broken in and soft like jersey cotton and a pair of 501s that are faded perfectly. I'm not sure which wash this is. It's simply a dark wash, and the indigo has worn off slightly (leaving subtle white "specks" arranged vertically). I think it looks terrific. The wash looks a lot like the dark wash on Levi's matchstick jeans. For $30, I think it's a good value.
It might be a good idea to lose the 5 L B's I've put in the past few months too, hehe.

I'm going to size up an inch, from 30" waist to 31". I love the silhouette of the 30", but I'm not a masochist. I've tried the 32" waist and it feels and looks too baggy. I really wonder how chicks retain the silhouette even though it's clear their jeans have been worn for months or years. Is a cotton/spandex blend the norm for women's jeans?
I'm realizing yet again that Levi's does not indulge vanity sizing. Their jeans are *fitted.*
