Question:
What do you think of guys with their jeans rolled up around 4-5 inches with shoes and no-show socks or just plain sockless? I like this look and notice it is becoming more popular out here in CA.
Answer:
Not my thing. I mean I have worn occassionally my sports shoes (sneakers to you people from the ex-colonies :D ) with jeans and no socks but I never intentionally rolled up my trouser legs.
Edited - forgot a whole phrase

The only reason to do this is if you ride your bike a lot and you have rolled your jeans up to compensate for the chain ring and grease.
Answer:
People in Maryland wear flip-flops?
Answer:
This is true. Although, a bunch of indie fuck/wannabe hippie kids on campus wear 1 or 2 legs rolled up all day most of the time as some sort of fashion statement or "look at me, i don't even care" vibe. It can work though.
Answer:
It can work - it kind of has to.
Your jeans wear to different leg lengths depending on your shoes. If the leg length is perfect for boots and shoes, they will fit longer with deck shoes or plimsoles (yes, plimsoles). So you cuff them or roll them.
Since I've began buying Japanese repro with all the different leg lengths I can see why the cuff look was so popular back the days of the 50s. I don't like jeans dragging on the ground. I've paid too much for them. I want them to fit well with sturdy shoes and boots. I used to think cuffing was a fad of the 80s but it is kind of practical if you want to wear your jeans with every kind of shoes you own.
Answer:
I like right leg rolled up for riding a bike, and both legs rolled up if I'm at the beach. Don't think it goes that well with anything other than sandals though.
Answer:
haha thats fine by me. its just one of those things that never made sense to me.

Answer:
The few times I rolled my jeans (before I got them hemmed) I was wearing flip-flops or loafers so obviously no socks. By the way I'm not a big fan of socks outside of work unless theyre small and thin (maybe a bit thicker than those things they have for trying on shoes...anyone know where to find them?)
