I bought my 1947 dry canes from klaxon howl in the spring for $245. Klaxon howl is across from trinity bellwoods park, next to chippys

Klaxon Howl is a very nice shop and I love the stuff they carry, but soooooo that's pricey for some canes!
Answer:
I figured it was in line with ordering them from history preservation ($217+ shipping+duty+guessing how they fit). Plus if you like what they are doing, then people should buy from them or they will be gone. They were cheaper than RRDS at due west ($300) when I checked there.
I could not bring myself to spend $80 for a tshirt with a silk screen of a penny farthing boneshaker though.

Answer:

Ouch, should have waited until they were not the first/"only" to have them. $165 vs $245 is a lot of money.
