Question:
Maybe I am getting ahead of myself. I mean I really don't need to be thinking about getting more jeans now. But in my short experience I've yet to come across some below retail Japanese repros. Do they ever go on sale? Ever?
The guy at Blue in Green said nope!!
Answer:
i think that the demand outstrips the supply. to have any kind of sale, you would have to have a surplus, which i dont think you have with many repro brands.
Answer:
i remember coldrice in Japan and having jeans come straight out of production and into his hands from PBJ. I thought that's a good indication of supply and demand.
Same thing with items like Loopwheeler, unable to get my size in a hoody because they had sold out and was dedicating the loopwheeler machine to making tshirts for the summer.
Answer:
Ok guys lets face it, we (here at here and over at superfuture) are the people who buy these jeans at BIG. If we stop buying them....maybe they will go on sale! and then we could get them cheaper! YES!
EDIT: On the other hand, something like that may jeapordize their business....and that would suck
Answer:
It's not just BIG. Even on rakuten sites, you rarely see jeans on sale, unless they're nontraditional in design or wash. I guess you can ask SF members that live in Japan this.
