Guy Refuses To Clear An Extra Seat For 82 Yr Old Man

Question:
Don't know if this goes in current events but it's not actually an article so I figured here.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0vwAcE7Rd0 (sorry if this has been posted already)
So anyways this guy refuses to free up an extra seat he's using with his stuff on it for an elder.
My first thought was wow how disrespectful can you be? . I mean it's courtesy and I feel you should always offer your seat to the elderly but the older man wasn't even asking the guy to offer his seat.
He was asking to clear up the extra seat he was blocking with his stuff and he refused!
What surprises me most is the citizens just sitting there.. and how they relatively did nothing..
If I was there and just for the sake of kindness i'd offer my own seat just so the old man wouldn't have to deal with that ***. But he(the young guy) called the cops so they stopped the bus just to wait for them to arrive ... how immature.
What do you guys think of this?
Answer:
Haha, reminds me of this guy I saw in taiwan.
But in asian countries where respect for elders is a must...this kind of stuff is kind of strange (compared to north america).
Answer:
haha. i feel sorry for the sitting down guy. everyone else on that bus is annoying.
Answer:
he's retarted.
and rude.
rude. rude. rude.
he could just put his books, whatever on his lap.

i hope the cops get him instead.

There were books involved?
They should provide a sub for this .
Answer:
that guy has no excuse..he looks to be around mid 20s..you would think he has learnt some manners i can't believe no one else on the train did anything abt it..they are all laughing like it's some joke -.-
we get told off soo much at school if we don't give up seats cos most of the students at my school take the train..i've had this experience before with this private school kid who was like around 13-14 ..the kid had his bag on the seat and when we told him to move it...he was like my bag has a right to be there..such BS...when u start buying train tickets for your bag..then tell me that...so we just dumped the bag on the floor and sat down anyways..ahaha
Answer:
yeah that guy was RUDE & stupid. i loved how everyone cheered like crazy when he got kicked off the bus. hahaha.
he had a freakin extra seat & he just put his bag on it. he's so stupid!
But nobody else did anything either. other people could have offered their seats for the elder. they just watched & waited for the other guy to give up his seat. but yeah the glasses guy was the WORST of all since he actually had a free seat next to him.. what a retard

no it's not strange.
i see this kind of stuff almost everyday in japan. and i saw it when i was in korea too.
the only difference is that people pretend to sleep or pretend not to notice the old person/handicapped person.
i didn't watch the video all the way through, but i hate those kinds of ppl.
if you are on a crowded bus, put your belongings on you lap so that others can sit.
your purse/book/watch/etc does NOT need a seat.
Answer:
wow that really is rude and selfish!! Was it that hard for him to just put his bag on the ground and let the old man take the seat already?! I think people like him would be considered rude in every country (that he didn't wanted to give up a seat for an elder is rude, but that he had his bag on a seat and didn't even want to put the bag away is even more rude). Weird that everyone wanted the glasses guy out of the bus but didn't even offer their seat though..
Answer:
wow. he's soooo rude... if i were in that bus with him, i'd give up my seat to that old man and give that rude and selfish guy a piece of my mind . or i'd sit on his things rofl
Answer:

i agree.. he should've stood up.
i would have given him my own seat for the sake of it too.
muchlove!

Answer:
they made it into a drama and discussion forum on bus .. haaa ..
that guy's really disrespectful .. and he's very unlucky to be caught and posted on youtube .. tsk .. now the whole world's gonna scream at him ..
Answer:
that 27 yr old guy who refuse to give up the next seat is rude! .. i mean, he perfers to put his stuff on the seat than to empty it for the ah bak! ..
Answer:
Hm.. here in New York we offer seats.. =O
That stinks.. I wonder why the other people didn't offer him a seat either (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)
If I were the old man, I would've just sat on his books LOL
Answer:
That's rude. And to think in public buses in Hong Kong say stuff like Please give away your seats to pregnant women and elders....that guy should've gave that seat to him instead of put his books on there.
Another point I want to make is that someone else could've gave up their own seat for the elder...why did no one do that?
Rofl, I find this video kind of funny, one of the women was like ng gong see gan as in she's not in a hurry and they're all just there waiting for the cops... wth?
Answer:
I would get a spanking if I did that.
If I happened to be there in the bus
I would've just gave up my seat for
the elder. I live in America, and I do
that anyways.
Answer:
no idea what they were talking about..
but.. daang, all of them people are GREEEEDY!
Answer:
That's so mean!
People should respect their elders.
Answer:
That is messed up... My grandpa was on the bus one time and a young man was smoking, so my grandpa was coughing and asked the guy to stop but he wouldn't. Then the other people on the bus threatened to beat up the young man if he doesn't stop and so he did... lol... That's how us Northerners do...
