Question:
I've got a retreat coming up for my church and it'd be AWESOME if you guys can tell me some games we can play. It can be Bible related or not but I'm looking for more casual games. Games that don't require extra material/resources but if it only requires a little, that's cool too. Can be either group v. group games, every person for themselves, etc. Stuff like Video Charades, Jwee Jab Jah, Assa, the '#feet/#hands' game, etc.. Thanks.
Answer:
Handheld stuff that is really creative is nice. :]
Loco Roco for the PSP, or Nintendogs for the DS is nice to do in your spare time down there. And, when everyone is asleep, its nice to wind down with a little kirby's canvas curse. XD

There's a game I know called Captain's Coming (I think), and it's really fun. BUT, I forgot some parts for it so I'll try to tell you if I remember.
Anyways-There's a game called Snake. You might want a big~ room for this one.
You divide into groups, so if you have 30 people, divide into 3 groups. I don't think you want to have SO many people in groups like 15.
You can make it group 1 vs group 2 or group 1 vs group 2 vs group 3, etc.
Get the group into a line. The first person in the group is the head/leader. The last person in the group is the tail/objective. MAKE SURE everyone in the group has their arms around the person's waist in front of them. (Except for the leader). The tail should hold onto the shirt of someone because he/she will run around the most. (You'll get what I'm saying if you play it).
Once everyone's connected, you can start. The objective is to 'tag' the other group's tail, but only the LEADER can do that. So the leader has to run and tag the other team's tail while keeping his/her own group together. If the tail is tagged, the game is over. If one of the group's line breaks, the game is over. What I mean by break is-if someone in the line lets go while you're running around or something like that. Basically, it's when the line disconnects anywhere.
I made some drawings if you didn't understand...

Try to bare with the drawings. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
This game gets pretty rough. I've been thrown halfway across the room before when my team's line broke. Shirts were ripped, etc. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) So be careful, haha.
I tried to make it as detailed as possible so.......yeah. I hope this helped a little. Have fun.

^That game looks fun but sounds violent at the same time. Just like most of the Korean games I have played. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
I'm going to a retreat after Christmas and my church was in charge of making up some games, or that's what my friend told me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) . My friend told me something about putting panty hose on the person's head and doing something like twirling the person around. Sounds funny but weird at the same time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
Here's another one. If you have watched Xman then you know what I'm talking about. You can only hold one leg up and move around with one leg and try to knock the opponents down. Fun, but can become violent.
Answer:
Babo!
So you do the typical Korean:
*slap legs*
*clap*
*left thumb up*
*right thumb up*
And the person to start says a number, but holds up a different number with their fingers...So, for example:
*slap legs*
*clap*
*holds five fingers up*
Says: ONE!
The next person has to do the same, BUT has to SAY the number the previous person held up.
*slap legs*
*clap*
*holds three fingers up*
Says: FIVE!
The next would be:
*slap legs*
*clap*
*holds two fingers up*
Says: THREE!
So on and so forth. So if someone messes up like
*slap legs*
*clap*
*holds two fingers up*
Says: TWO! I mean ONE
Then everyone mocks them:
*slap legs*
*clap*
Everyone Says: TWO! I mean ONE
*slap legs*
*clap*
Say: BA *left thumb up*
Say: BO *right thumb up*
Say: BA *left thumb up*
Say: BO *right thumb up*
Haha that was really long, but this game is really fun because it's really difficult and so many people will screw up, and you get to make fun of them at the same time hahaha =D

but all i can say... is watch xman xD
xD
i remember laughing so hard in most of their games. xD
but i really liked the one where the guys had to propose to a girl and get in a couple with them and then the guy picks the girl up (with weight being added - bags of rice) and they had to do various stunts, like say somethiing romantic to their coupling (most sang verses of a song), etc. x]
and they would have to squat and then stand, squat, stand, and then do more stunts, etc. it was so cute 3
and the people who drop their couples or cannot stand up again or fail to do their stunts were eliminated. x D
i never finised it though so i dont know which team won T_T
and also the acting out games.. where they have to act out parts from dramas/movies with certain circumstances and changes xDDDD
i remember the eric+andy one 3 omfg that was the cutest. x]
but i dunno if they're all good for retreats.. for the acting out parts.. maybe they could act out parts from the bible.
Answer:
^ LOL i remeber that game :]
also.
my friend taught meeh this new game.,
xD
it`s a number game
okay so you`re in a circle right?
the first person starts counting off numbers. [1~3 consecutive numbers]
ex: 1 - 12,13 - 4,5,6
then the next person goes & they do the same thing continuing off of the previous person`s string of numbers.
ex: 2 - 14,15 - 16, 17, 18
& same with the next person & the next person.
the objective is to not be next to the person who gets to 30.
because if the person next to yooh get`s to 30.. then YOU`RE out :]
it`s pretty challenging x_x;;
sorrie for the confusing explanation xD
lolz.
then there`s alwaiiz dbdbdip xD
Answer:
does anyone know any fun punishments for an individual to do after they lose? ex: frying the bacon - 2 people: one person imitates a bacon being cooked, the other person is turning the heat to low, medium, high...then the person being cooked must imitate the temperature levels by squiggling
Answer:
Well, theres the card game mafia, my youth group usually plays that during retreats.
Theres also Viking:
basically you get a group of people in a circle, and the group waves ur arms forward, like swimming.
then everyone chants Viking, Viking, Viking, until someone starts the game by yelling VIKING!!!!!! and the two people on the right and left (one per each side) are pretending to row the boat near him. and then he claps his hands together and points at the next person, while saying viking. then the person pointed at will continue the game by repeating the process.
(i hope thats a good explanation)
BTW mafia is a card game where two people are police, two people are mafia (depending on how large the group is)
its a fun game, and the rest of the group are civilians
its like role playing. in it, there is a narrator and the game starts with everyone's head's down, and the two mafia pick one person to kill, there job is to be the last ones alive. After they choose someone, then the police have their head's up and they pick a person, and the narrator will tell them if they are mafia or civilian. after they are done, everyone raises their heads up, and the person chosen to die, gets out of the game. The whole objective is for the mafia to all die, or everyone else die. civilians can have small court sessions and execute someone if they believe that the accused is the mafia, and then everyone votes on it (majority, this is a democracy..). and the game continues with a rotation of heads down, mafia up, mafia down, police up, police down, everyone up, etc.
i hope this helps ur youth group
BTW some funny punishments are ugly dancing where someone dances horribly for 10 seconds... thats usually funny
