Need SUGGESTIONS for..

Question:

I have a Church retreat coming up and am in charge of the GAMES AND ACTIVITES. Roughly, I need 4 icebreaker games, 4 indoor games, and 4 outdoor games.
It should be appropriate for middle schoolers --- young adults and.. yes, appropriate for church. (So no strip poker... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) )
Any ideas? Suggestions?
Thanks!
Answer:

for the indoor, youth game ... TABOO!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Answer:
well, i went on my church retreat thingy last sept/oct so i can tell you some of the games we played (i only remember a few but when i remember more, ill tell you)
~jukebox- you can play this inside or outside, doesnt matter- separate everyone into teams (dont put yourself in a team) you pick a word and the teams have to think of a song that has that word in it. after a few minutes of letting the group talk about songs, you point to a group and they have to sing the part of that song that has the word in it, everyone has to sing or else they are out. if they dont have a song, they are out. yea, just keep going untill someone wins. im sorry if this is confusing, just pm me if you want better instructions
~dodgeball- this is obviously outside- well, you know what dodge ball is... you DODGE a BALL
~ this is an icebreaker game, you can think of a name for it if you want- you pick a person, they say thier name and three facts about them, 2 of them true, and one false, everyone else has to guess which one is the false one. just keep going untill everyone had a turn

Answer:
Hmm. If Kindergartens can do it, we can do it too.
Red rover, red rover, we call ________ over. They stop playing that by the end of elementary...bring it back to them and they'll have fun.
Pin The Tail on the Teacher. That was fun, very fun.
Icebreakers....everyone takes off one shoe and puts it near the door (...you do understand why it's near the door, don't you?). Then everyone finds a different shoe that's not theirs, and find the person with the shoe. When the person finds their ShoePerson, they ask them their name and 3 questions. D: Sugoi, nee?
Dodgeball...very exciting.
Nation ball...I love that thing even more.
D: Steal the Muffin game. There are two teams. They are lined up parallel, each team facing each other. In the middle of the teams is a muffin (you can substitute with other things, but muffins are cool). Teacher calls out two people, one from each team. They are the people first in the line of their team. They are to run to the middle and try to get the muffin as soon as possible and run back to their team to score a point. However, whoever holds the muffin CAN BE TAGGED BY THE OTHER PERSON WHO DOES NOT, and if they are tagged, they have to retreat without the muffin and no one scores a point. The next two people in line go....

Man, I LOVE that game. It's hours of fun...I'd suggest that too.
One game that is played alot that I know of is, love thy neighbor. Everyone participating sits in chairs in either a circle or big square. One person is left standing in the middle. The person standing choices someone and asks...Do you love thy neighbor?. That person replies, yes BUT, I hate... Then they say what they don't like...for example yes BUT, I hate people wearing glasses. Then everyone it applies to, has to run and find another seat. The last person standing, chooses the next person to ask the question to. It can get pretty crazy, it's amazing what people will do for an empty chair. Just thought I'd share..lolz.

yeah taboo is a great game ^^ an indoor game well at my youth group we always play ball games, umm a trivia game. make stuff up
Answer:
lol for ice breaker this yr we had these games where you split into 2 groups and there is a cloth in the middle and a person on each side, then the cloth drops and see who can name their opponent 1st so say if A wins then B will have to go over to A's team, if B wins then A will have to go over to B's team lol.
we also have like everyone sitting in a circle and they theres like say 4 eggs on 4 different spoons and when ever the music stops, the 4 people that are holding the spoons have to dress the part and perform something together. it can be a type of dance or a verse from the bible and so on.
out door games.. aa they usualy take parts from the bible and make it into a game or like waterballon games. basketball, volleyball and all that r good as well.
indoor games, for leisure right? we usually pla games such as big 2 and mafia and so on lol.
lol am i confusing you? yes im sorry .

Thanks, sooperNOODLES!! Taboo is a great game.. except our YG has played it a dozen plus times. I dunno if they will be interested in playing it again. I think I will use it as a Last-minute type thing. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thanks, coolieever! Jukebox sounds like a really fun game. I am definitely putting it on my list! I love the two truths, one lie game -- and dodegeball is a classic. Thanks for your suggestions!

LOL, FirstTheWorst! Thanks so much for taking the time to draw the pic! I appreciate it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/w00t.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
I don't know if you were being sarcastic or not, but I have no clue what Nationball is..
Red Rover sounds like a lot of fun -- haven't played in AGES!!
And Steal the Muffins sounds great also. But I have a question: why would the scorekeeper call out the people's names? Isn't it just.. whoever is in front of the line?
And Pin the Tail on the Teacher? Ehh.. since I'm going to be leading the games.. I don't think I'll do that. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
For outdoor you should play... boys vs girls capture the flag!! It's better when it's in the dark!! hahaha
Thanks Orenji! Haha, we SHOULD play Capture the Flag, but... our teams are divided co-ed and there are 4 teams. It would be insanity...

Thanks for the game idea, ievani!

Thanks Kathymon! I don't think I want to think of trivia games as of now: I'm working all the time and it's really short notice. Thanks, though. Bible trivia games are usually killers. Actually, maybe I will do it.. *evil laughter*

Thanks AznMonkee! The cloth game would be great, except everyone already knows everybody's names -- it would be like who could say other people's names faster game. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
I do love the egg game though. I think I will do that one... and hard-boil the eggs. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
I love MAFIA but... I tried it with my group once and most ppl didn't take advantage of MOBOCRACY. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
