Anyway~ Mm.. I think, perhaps your guys might be criticizing the mood of the speech too much? Well I mean.. Haha wait; I'm going to make correction in the speech -- and yeah; I correct a lot of my friends' homework online xD So I'll do that here -- but. I'm just a big grammar freak xD; (=D WITHS2 Editor right here xP~) So yeah, that'll be what I change the most, if it needs changing..
O_O Yeah. Uh. Haha I hope it doesn't seem like much -- but they're all pretty much optional corrects, just a bunch of grammar and spelling overall.. It's cute. Haha; I told you I was a grammar freak, ne? (No, I'm not planning on majoring in English or anything =|~~) Haha;; Im picky with both grammar and spelling, but my vocabulary sucks;; (Thanks for the new vocab word!) Yeah, so again. If you like your tone, then keep it. Our suggestions aren't meant to change what YOU want to say in your speech. If what we write changes your ideas ness, then yeah. Don't go with them.

Oh. Haha. Lighthearted ness is perfectly fine =D. Because yeah; My sister was valedictorian of her class (btw -- CONGRATULATIONS!!) and yeah. Her speech was a lot more casual than the salutatorian's -- and despite it being longer too, her speech kept the stadium awake -- (haha graduations here are held in a football stadium xD) -- they laughed a good amount of times ^^. And yuh. So O_O. If you want more ideas.. my sister quoted stuff from a book or something (Leo Tolstoy? @_@) .. the Salutatorian quoted Dr. Seuss.. and yeah. Oh.. And also, you could thanks more people... like other teachers, your friends, and most importantly.. your family? If you can fit it in =]. Because -- You know, it doesnt even matter if some people start nodding off during your speech. This is YOUR speech. You worked hard to be able to give it.. So take your time and thank the people who really matter. (Oh gosh, what do I sound like? Loll)

Everyone basically talked about your down-to-earth trait. You should decide whether you will try to keep it THAT informal or not. My main point is if you were trying to talk like that, you should practice a way to speak in front of the crowd so that you don't sound monotone. EXPECIALLY if you were saying oh wow it's graduation. don't want to sound like a robot there. more like WOW! it's FINALLY graduation. can you beLIEVE it ? not only does the speech has to be good, the way you deliver your speech has to be of the same quality ;]
I didn't help you much with your speech figuring that the others have already taken care of that. x]
