Welcome families, faculty, honored guests, and class of 2006.
Wow, graduation huh? Well, we made it, class of 2006!
First, I’d like to thank everyone here tonight.
I would also like to extend my thanks to some very special people in my life.
My family, I just wouldn’t be who I am without them. Thank you for giving everything I need in life, the love and support.
All the friends I have made in all the different academies. You guys have truly taught me the meaning of real friendship.
Mr. Fiel, a teacher I know I want for life, and a father-to-be, congratulations. You are going to make a great dad. Remember me when you need a sitter.
Mrs. Marvrogiannis, a devoted, and intelligent woman, with her doors and heart open whenever you need something. My second homeroom. Thank you.
Mrs. Lanfranchi, she is a woman with a pure soul and certainly the kind of person I aspire to be.
I would also like to mention one very special man in my life--and the lives of my fellow graduates. This man was THE pillar, supporting our education; the founder of our beloved school. A man who we all knew and loved – our former principal, John Quincy Adams, who passed away few weeks ago. But I know that he’s probably watching over each of us right now, smiling down at us, feeling proud, and tall that we have completed our chapter here at Christa McAuliffe.
Writing this speech was not easy but I manage because all of you, every single person in my life have contributed to this speech. WE wrote the speech presented here tonight. Thank you, all of you.
As I look out at my fellow graduates tonight, I see before me not just a massive crowd of teens, but young adults with exceptional talents and achievements, capable of succeeding any challenges in their path. The key to success is to pursue our passions and to give 100% in every task set before us. It’s important to succeed, but what does it mean to be successful? Or even to be talented? Is it to have the top grades in school? Or is it something else?
It’s funny, as I get older; I realize success is not how much money you have in the bank or how significant your grade is. Sure, to some extend, they menifest our accademic capability, but i also find that they have became an invisible barrier, a line erected between individuals. My fellow classmates, understand, that grades only reflect a small piece of who we are. Scores does not suppress us. It is what’s inside that truly reflect our worth and values. Think of the best people we know in our lives, are they making millions? Are they the ones at the top of their academic standings?
They are passionate hard workers, knowing that we are all winners as long as we do our best. My classmates, it’s the way you conduct yourself and live your life that truly define you, and that is more than what any number on a piece of paper can say about you.
Ladies and gentlemen, I would also like to share with you a quote, which I have heard a thousand times from my mother, well… aside from well, all the other constructive annoyance.
hi mom
This great woman once said “You give up the good life for a life that is good.” To me, it is one inspiring phrase and it has helped me keep my focus on what is important all these years and I hope it will do the same for all of you.
My classmates, seize the opportunities in front of you. Enjoy yourselves, but stay true to your ultimate dream. And remember that happiness and success doesn’t only await us at the end of that tunnel. Your accomplishments are for naught if you did not enjoy the journey.
Meanwhile you may leave home the mathematic formulas, scientific theories, and Spanish conjugations that you have learned, But you must have this with you at all time. No, it is not money, even though I know we all want to be rich.
It is the Golden Rule of Life “Treat others the way you would like to be treated.”
Mr. Syvester, my science teacher first said it to me on the first day of 7th grade. He is a man who would rather struggle than to break this Rule. Thanks for sharing it with me. I have and will always keep it in my heart.
I don’t know how many people, but before we turn into cry babies by the end of the ceremony, I want you all to cherish tonight and all our years in Christa McAuliffe. It’s not the end. But we have just stepped over yet another threshold in life, opened another chapter in our book, that of which no pen or paper in the world can write.
Thanks the teachers cuz cant do it without them and the students that help me throught the pass three years

Answer:
The name of your school sounds very familiar... Is it around Oxnard?
Answer:
You're going to make people jealous with that speech.
Your mom is going to be jealous of your aunt.
Your dad is going to be jealous of your teacher.
I don't think you should compare them to a parent, just praise them.
And you have too many idioms and 'sayings.' I was taught to never use them in speeches or writings because they are corny and oversued. ie reach for the stars, shooting the moon,
I usually limit myself to one famous statement per speech, The brave might not live long, but the cautious don't live at all. I still haven't found the right situation to use it though. I got it from the Princess Diary or something.

Welcome class of 2006, families, faculties, and honored guests. I think you should put it by order of importance (meaning class of 2006 last). there's only one faculty, Insert school staff maybe?
Wow, graduation huh? doesn't transition well maybe Wow, today is graduation! can you believe it? Well, we made it my fellow peers x]Well, we made it, class of 2006!
First, I’d like to thank everyone here tonight for giving me the chance to share with you a piece of me.a piece of me sounds awkward
I would also like to extend my thanks to some very special people in my life. **wink ;] hahahaha my speech advisor said we should do something like that to hint recognition to our families (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
My family, I just wouldn’t be who I am without them, especially my aunt who’s like my second mom. aww what about mommy?
All the friends I have made in all the different academies in this school. You guys have filled my past three years here in Christa McAuliffe with much laughter and . and ?
Mr. Fiel, a teacher every student want for life, and congratulations on the father-to-be. on the father-to-be sounds awkward. You are going to make a great dad. Wanna adopt me?
Mrs. Lanfranchi, a woman with great faith in me sounds awkward. a woman who had great faith in me? and certainly the kind of person I am inspire to be.
Mrs. Marvrogiannis, a devoted and intelligent teacher, who has her doors and heart open whenever you need something.
Dr.Daley, the “Doctor” who once told me “science is fun”. You just can’t get enough of her happy-go-easy attitude.
Mrs. Kempton, the artistic one, who is probably as much of a perfectionist as I am. people might think you're conceited
Mrs. Kary and Mrs. Fernandaz who both work hard drilling Spanish into our heads. Unfortunately, I still can’t do the tongue roll.
I don’t have the time to name everyone I would like to thank today, this sounds too blunt but I would like to mention one very special man in my life – no, it’s not my boyfriend, I wish I had one. Hahathere will be parents there .. I'm not sure if you want to say that
No, this man was the pillar, supporting our education; he was founder of Christa McAuliffe. A man who we all knew and loved – our former principal, John Quincy Adams. Unfortunately, he passed away. But I know that he’s probably watching over each of us right now, smiling down at us, feeling proud and tall that we have completed our chapter here at Christa McAuliffe. this is beautiful. very deep.
As I look out at my fellow graduates tonight, I see before me not just a massive crowd of teens, but of young adults with exceptional talents and achievements, capable of conquering any challenges in their path. the of feels a bit unecessary. talents and achievements don't go together. maybe say abilities? The key to success is to pursue our passions and to give 100% in every task set before us. It’s important to succeed, but what does it mean to be successful? Or even to be talented?or even sounds unecessary. Is it to have the top grades in school? parallel construction. you should use does it like before. =] Or is it something else?
Grade, huh? Funny, as I got older, I realized that to some, test scores are defining numbers that determined your capability, while to others it’s a barrier, a line erected between the smart and everyone else.vague. i don't understand. I know you're trying to make the non-smarts not feel bad about themselves. but 'smart and everyone else'... My fellow classmates, understand, that they only reflect part of us. A low score will not keep us from reaching for the stars or shooting the moon. You can ace your SAT’s, AP exams, and all your quizzes and tests. But it is who we are, our true worth and value that define us. Think of the best people we know in our lives, are they making millions? Are they the ones at the top of their academic standings?great
They are the ones who work hard, passionately hard x] adjectives adjectives adjectives knowing that we are all winners as long as we do our best. My classmates, it’s the way you conduct yourself and live your life that truly reflects you, and that is more than what any number a simple number? on a piece of paper can say about you.
Ladies and gentlemen, I would not have made this far, if it weren’t for this quote, which I have heard a thousand times from my mother, well… aside from “your room is a mess; when are you going to hit the books?” And all the other constructive annoyance. you tried to make it sound un-harsh, but either way it ends up with the same impression. I don't think you should refer to your mom this way in front of your mom and other parents.
hi mom,
This great woman once said “You give up the good life for a life that is good.” To me, it is was past-tense. you've been using past tense one inspiring phrase and it has helped me keep my focus on what is important all these years and I hope it will do the same for all of you. Believe me, I don’t study day and night, all I did was give up are pieces of fun here and there and in the end, I know that they will add up to a great future. confusing sentence ..
My classmates, seize the opportunities in front of you. Have fun, but stay true to your ultimate dream. And remember that happiness and success doesn’t only await us at the end of that tunnel. Your accomplishments are for naught if you did not enjoy the journey.
You may leave home the mathematic formulas, scientific theories, and Spanish conjugations that you have learned, But you must have this with you at all time. No, it is not money, even though I know we all want to be rich.

It’s not the end, we have just stepped over yet another threshold in life, opened another chapter in our book, that of which no pen or paper in the world can write. wonderful wonderful paragraph. this is the best ending
You are all unique. Don’t let money and others stop you from being the best of that you can be. money and others. you probably need more than one example before saying others. I expect great things from each and every one of you. sounds very teacher-like. I don't think it should be coming from a student speaker ..
Don't be afraid ... most of my comments were pure suggestions. I do want to ask a few things ...
Is there a certain theme to this speech? If there was I didn't feel anything. Maybe it was follow your dreams? Most of your speech is very deep, but it's unorganized .. I could capture the main idea but I couldn't find any main factors that lead up to the main idea.
I hope you do well at your graduation speech !! and I hope my advice helped.
