Question:
Pretty much what the title says.
Was there ever a time when a random old person (or random person in general) come up to you and just have a conversation with you out of the blue and you never spoke to them again?
For me, near the end of my junior year, I was getting off my bus stop and there was this old man about to make a left turn (the opposite direction of where I was going).
But as soon as the bus left, he made a right turn instead...towards me.
So he drives up and this was how the conversation went...
Old Man: {looking at me} What grade are you in?
Me: 11th.
Old Man: That's a tough year, isn't it?
Me: Yea. 11th grade is the toughest year in high school.
::old man nods - looks away for a second - pauses::
Old Man: {looking at me again} How's the boyfriend situation?
Me: Um, I'm single.
::still looking at me old man smiles, chuckles, and drives away::
...I don't know.
Maybe that's not weird for some people, but that's very weird for me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
Perhaps he was trying to be nice and all, but the way everything went was just too awkward.

Well there was this one time I stepped out of a video tape store and this old man walked towards me and started saying random things to me.
I just walked away haha he scared me.

Kaka I love old people, they're funny / cute, and they're all tiny / slightly chubby haha! They do like to talk a lot though haha a few random old people have tried talking to me.

well after swimming class..my friends and i had our breakfast in mcdonald's..
in the mornings, there are a group of businessmen that eats there as well..and one time, there was this street children, who had snuck inside mcdonald's..and we gave him money, since we were really hungry insted of giving our food..
and one of this businessmen guys...approached and reprimanded us about political stuff and the child will dpnd in receiving money...
we just zipped our mouths. can't complain but the approach wasn't right.
after we left, he handed us a little note with his apologies in it. in case he did surprise us.

It's part of my job too like someone above. While at the checkouts, they usually whip up all the talking while I reply to their question and ask them questions. They are quite interesting people if you gave them the chance and actually listened to their stories.

anyways. i dont remember any random old people talking to me... but theyre alright. just like in general, there will be different kinds of old people. there will be some weirdos/forgetful ; realllyy caring who bakes cookies and all that junk; or cranky ones.

I imagine a world 50 years from now, no one will talk to each other in public any more because of this exact reason: being chicken sh*t to talk to strangers.
I like old people, they know what they're talking about and they actually have manners, unlike the kids today.

Old people can be molestor, but most are not. It's a good thing to learn experience from them, I talk to my mom all the time and she taught me many things.
I get shy when talking to my aunts&uncles which it was my first time...I dont talk much to the elder and I tried to...-.- but it's weird because I dont get shy talking to stranger in public. o__o
