Do you spell it they way your parents intended for you to or do you write it the way you want? Like for instance, my Korean name is Yooni. Romanized according to my parents its Euni (it's spelled that way on my birth certificate), but I like writing it as Yooni. What about you?

But whenever I romanize my Chinese name it comes out as 'Lai Yun Yok' Yun wound be like 'young' without the 'g' and yok would almost rhyme with 'look'.
