Black President? Or Female President?

Question:
According to NPR (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=6642868):
While a majority of U.S. voters say they would vote for a black presidential candidate, many people say the United States is still not likely to put an African-American in the Oval Office quite yet.
Michele Norris talks with campaign strategist Donna Brazile about what an African-American candidate — like Sen. Barack Obama, for instance — would have to do to win.
Norris also talks with Harvard Law Professor Randall Kennedy, author most recently of Interracial Intimacies: Sex, Marriage, Identity, and Adoption; and Diane McWhorter, author of Carry Me Home: Birmingham, Alabama and the Climactic Battle of the Civil Rights Revolution.
Both Kennedy and McWhorter have spent a lot of time studying race in America. We also hear opinions from around the country.
For me, I'm not too informed about the platforms of either candidate (Obama or Clinton). I have no real stance right now... but it would be something if a Black candidate was elected president. Then, when people (like high schoolers in international schools) say, You're not American! You're not white!, I could simply reply with an, Oh please, our president is Black. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Perhaps it's even a bigger step for the US than a female president.
Answer:
i'd rather have a male president than a female.. but i dunno.
since shes clinton's wife & clinton was a good president, i might go for her.
im not sure about either candidates either so yeah.. xp
Answer:
To me, if I were to have a vote..I'd vote for Hillary, Obama seems a bit untrustable..This is just a personal opinion of mine though..hmm..
Answer:
now imagine if we had a black and female president, i think people's heads would explode.
not that it would be a bad thing, but people by nature are very resistant to change.

whoa that would be so awesome. poeples heads would really explode, its not a norm of america to do that eh, but what can ya do.
Answer:
I'd rather take someone who's going to run this country right!
Answer:
hilary for president! obama and osama are too close....i dont trust him
Answer:
I really don't mind either way.
Answer:
It'd be interesting either way. I dunno, we'll see~
Answer:
Anybody is better that BUSH.
Answer:
IMO, Clinton has more experience than Obama. But I think Obama is way more popular than her. *shrug*

Answer:
I think the male canditate Obama needs more experience to be a president. Correct me if I'm wrong but he's pretty new in the politics world. But I think it's great women and people of color are stepping up. Would be great to see a change in history.
Answer:
I'd like to see a black president.
I love Colin Powell.
Answer:
Obama all the way~~~
I've heard too many... strange stories about Hilary Clinton. She's scary. I don't want that scary person to be president TT_TT.
Answer:
both of those candidates are insane...
no offense to women or african-americans but they seriously have problems in their heads
Answer:
I don't see a problem with anyone being president as long as they have the ability.
Answer:
i wouldn't mind seeing either than them, but i think more people are going to go for obama because 1) he's male and 2) clinton's way too liberal. to be a good candidate, you have to be more in the middle of things, in order to get votes from both sides.
Answer:
it doesn't matter who wins really as a figure of the U.S. By having a women win, we would have a wider support from countries that oppress womens, such as the middle east. If we have a black person win, we would show the world that our country is not white dominant like it used to, that all races are treated equal and united. So countries like North Korea, can't see the U.S. like they used to o_O Remember North Korea's propaganda is pretty much, Kill white christians. lmao so either way, it's a win for us if either of them wins xD Plus the image of the U.S. overall will look to be a more positive figure. As for person running country, I don't know about the Obama o_o but Clinton will be heavily influenced by her husband.
Answer:
Hiliary Clinton was in San Francisco a few days back doing interviews. She did not let any Chinese reporters into the room. Her reason being that You were all informed to come twenty minutes before the interview! You guys are late so you can't come in. The Chinese reporters wrote a column about that and how they weren't even told that they had to arrive twenty minutes earlier in the first place. Senator Leland Yee has made statements/comments disapproving of Hiliary Clinton's actions. Hiliary Clinton apologized a few days after the incident.
Pfft...After my dad told me all of that I really have my doubts in her. I much rather have a liberal African American president over a liberal female president any day.
Answer:
i dont think having a african american president is a good idea. since there are numbers of people who doesn't like african people annnd things can get out of hand. x_x like assassin for example
