Answer:
well... if you live in korea, you can also join this one organization that helps in 3rd world countries.
this one organization called Jungto Society or also known as Join Together Society helps around in 3rd world countries. JTS has helped around in 3rd world countries, including my country, the Philippines. I have joined in two peace camps aided by JTS, although they have been holding five peace camps yearly in our country. Korean university students come here because of peace camps and we go to tribal villages who are in need of help.
As of now, I'm a part-time volunteer of the JTS-Philippines =D

The Peace Corps. It's incredible.
http://www.peacecorps.gov/
Here's an excerpt from the site:
The Peace Corps traces its roots and mission to 1960, when then Senator John F. Kennedy challenged students at the University of Michigan to serve their country in the cause of peace by living and working in developing countries. From that inspiration grew an agency of the federal government devoted to world peace and friendship.
Since that time, more than 187,000 Peace Corps Volunteers have been invited by 139 host countries to work on issues ranging from AIDS education to information technology and environmental preservation.
