i look politley; small smile; and just look away after like 3 seconds.. o.o
i mean if i were ti have a face like that then i dont want people making faces at me =]
and to answer your question i dont stare .unless its a really hot guy or something
Answer:
i just pretend not to notice anything out of the ordinary. i dont like stare open mouthed but i also dont completely avoid eye contact or anything.
Answer:
i'll get stoned for a second and quicky turn my face to normal and smile =)
Answer:
i kno a girl who was born with a disfigured face, but she's so sweet and nice.. so i just act normally with her, maybe i act a little more nice than i usually am tho. coz i feel really bad for her.
but when i see someone on the street with a disfigured face, i usually just avoid eye contact because i don't want to seem like i'm staring.
Answer:
I look at them but as soon as they see me looking I try to pretend Im not looking at them
last time I was waiting in line at the store and a teen ager had a really bad case of acne all over his face, it was really red and you couldnt help but notice, he saw me looking and I heard him say whats that guy looking at? but I quickly turned away so I wouldnt appear like Im starring.
Answer:
I try to ignore it. I don't think they need anymore people staring at them or commenting about it.
Answer:
i kinda look at them (but i try not to!!) and then i turn away and look at my hand or something
Answer:
Act normal as if nothing is wrong. It's not polite to stare at people too much.
Answer:
I think it's best to act normal. I'm really straightforward so when I'm talking to someone or I've been caught staring at someone(I don't do this a lot), I look at their eyes and give a small smile.
I think that's the best way because I wouldn't want anyone treating me any different if I was disfigured or anything. ^^
Answer:
Don't look at them at all. If I look then they might assume it's a bad thing and it would make them feel worse than they already are. It's best to treat them like others. =)
Answer:
I react the same but internally, I feel really sad.

Answer:
I just pretend that I never saw it. lol
but if it was someone I knew I'd go up to that person and show that I care and stuff.
I think it's a bit awkward to go up to a stranger and like ask them if they were okay. it could be a birthmark... or they might not want to talk about it and stuff.
Answer:
I give a small smile.
I do that to everyone.

Answer:
well if i end up staring I stop as soon as I realize what I'm doing. Another problem is people get ultra self-conscious and really exaggerate not staring. I think that's no good either. I get self-conscious too, but I make an effort to at least look natural.

Answer:
I look away or ignore it. I try not to stare since that's rude and it might cause the person to feel bad about his or herself. I'll just act like how I normally act towards others.
Answer:
Well I try to act normal. Not to stare but not to avoid.
Answer:

i just pretend not to notice anything out of the ordinary. i dont like stare open mouthed but i also dont completely avoid eye contact or anything.
^ Me too. I dont think they should be stared at but they also shouldn't be ignored either.
Answer:
I try to act normally. Don't wanna be treating them differently than I would be anyone else..
Answer:
I look...because it's a natural reaction (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) ..
Then after like 1 second of looking I act normally.
