For some reason, I had the biggest feeling I'd be posting about toilets. I was gonna ask, anybody know if the phone will die if I dropped the phone in the toilet while it was off and took it apart to let it dry?

well it turns out verizon has a lil sticker behind the battery to see if theres water damage, which they dont cover...
and i wanted to exchange my phone cos a speaker doesnt work, and they were like... the water indicator is missin...

I never had a cellphone yet so no cellphone R.I.P. moments for me yet. One of my friends dropped her cellphone in the water at the beach cause we were jumping around and it slipped out of her pocket.

My friend jumped into a lake with her cellphone in her pocket.She had to get another one. Same with my cousin.

My cellphone was in my jeans, and my mom accidentally washed it. I was pissed. But she took it to work, where they had a dryer machine.. thing, and now it works perfectly.
The same thing happened to my cousin, but when my mom 'dried' it, the screen cracked, but the cellphone still worked.

The cell phone people will know if you had dropped in some kind of water because there is a sticker somewhere on the phone that indicates whether the phone has been in water or not.
I think you should take it to the shop and tell them the truth, then ask what to do.. although I can imagine those salespeople uttering ..get a new phone... haha.
So far with my new phone, I dropped it ONCE when it fell out from the pocket of my cheap scrubs.. haha xD

i've dropped mine PLENTY of times ... i dropped it like 5878367847 in the rain last year because my pockets weren't big enough.
recently, when i went to the century 21 in new york, i was getting on the escalator to go down and my fone fell out of my pocket and fell ALL the way down the escalator, passing through people's legs. it was pretty entertaining. it still works though *knocks on wood*

It drops out of your pocket when you take your pants off or are putting them back on, or if you have those tight jeans with little pockets phones fall out of them very easily (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)
