(CBS) BUENA PARK, Calif. A makeshift memorial was constructed Wednesday in Buena Park where a 14-year-old boy was killed while trying to jump his skateboard over the rod connecting the rear tank of a slow-moving gas truck.
Jack Pellicano was riding his skateboard through the parking lot of the Chevron Station at Valley View Street and La Palma Avenue at about 5 p.m. Tuesday when he decided to jump the trailer tongue, Buena Park police Sgt. Gary Worrall said.
The boy was struck and injured by the truck. The driver did not know he hit anything and continued on, Worrall said.
The driver, Raymond Ramos, 45, of Norwalk, was later tracked down with the help of Chevron's corporate office and he returned to the station.
Jack was taken to UCI Medical Center where he died about an hour later.

explanation of how he died:
so in my old place, there is an in-n-out and a gas station. well after he bought burgers, he was heading home, and i guess he saw those gas fuelers. you know those big trucks that contains gas and have like 2 tanks, and a gap in the middle? well while the truck was slowly moving, with his skateboar he attempted to jump through the little gap. bad mistake, he didnt make it and was ran over. he was declared dead one hour ;later
so my questtiion is: do you know anyone or heard of anyone die so tragically,??

i`ve had a friend die a rather tragic death. i won`t go into detail here but it was something that could have been prevented, and finding him was not a pretty sight.
