Recommend A Movie

Question:
Need a movie for a film appreciation class i'm taking. Will be doing a presentation based on my analysis on it.
My classmates have chosen movies like 'a beautiful mind', 'the pianist', 'the aviator', 'crash'... etc.
So i want a movie that is not so heavy, and preferably paced faster. I'm thinking about something along the lines of 'amelie', 'matchstick man', 'garden state', 'thank you for smoking'...
it does not matter if it is hollywood or indie or international.
[mods, if you want to move this to the movies section, please do so. but i feel this is out of place there..]
Answer:
Fight Club.
Shawshank Redemption.
American History X.
The Boondock Saints.
Answer:
pretty baby
basic instinct 1 and 2
match point
the omen
just some movies i watched recently...maybe they works?
off topic...'thank you for smoking' was entertaining XD..i saw that recently as well
Answer:
Memento
The Machinist
Jacob's Ladder
These may not be along the lines of your 'not so heavy/fast-paced' criteria, but I'm fairly certain that these films would supply you with plenty of material from which you could analyze, particularly in terms of symbolism and storytelling style.

Jarhead isn't too heavy. As for faster paced, I recommend Boiler Room
Answer:
Here's a couple more for your consideration:
Hard Candy
The Woodsman
These two certainly provide substantive analysis material, particularly along the lines of social and moral issues.
