this is interesting . may i ask , did you stop being friends with this person because of drugs , or as a consequence ? as in .. did you say to yourself i won't be friends with this person if they take drugs , or did your lives become so different as a consequence of your friends drug use that you genuinely drifted apart ?
No. I continued being his friend during his early drug stage hoping that he would evuntually stop and things would go back to normal. I was always his frined when he smoked cigarettes but we parted alittle at the drugs. HE started hanging out with the wrong sort of people doing the wrong things, i/e: he would rob people mug them do drugs steal his grandmas car, etc...
I stuck by his side trying to help him till he moved on to drugs like heiroin and meth. THen i though that he would never change, he'd end up like his moom and dad and he did.
As soon as he went off and hung out to the bad crowd, and moved on to dangerous drugs, that's when i stopped bring his friend.

Tha's good. Stay out of it. As long as he doen't progress to hard core drugs you can still be his friend, but don't ever do any.

i like the poem. (: i know what you're going through. it happened to me a bunch of times. most of it was cause of drugs & my friends started skipping school and hanging around the wrong people. sometimes it was gangs but whatever. i still have friends who do drugs, but it's okay. they're my friends and i like them for who they are, drugs or not. though i would prefer if they didn't do them.

It has never happen to me before. But I've lost friendships for seemingly non-existant reasons.
