i would say look for jobs that have some kind of benefits, which is really hard, but it's always a bonus. i know that borders gives part-time benefits like medical and dental.
how old are you? you could always put your resume up at monster.com or something ... or you can try a government/state job. those usually pay pretty well and some of them have benefits and i've heard that they're pretty easy to apply for.

I'm 15.
Answer:
^ not that many places hire people that age (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) ... i think it's either california or federal law that says people who are under 16 are only allowed a certain amount of hours b/c of school and stuff. i think it's around 15 hours or so, not exactly sure on the amount. and i think most - if not all - states reqiire a work permit if you're still in high school.
like sayuri43 mentioned, i would suggest tutoring also. i don't think it's necessary for you to get a job, i would focus on school and just being able to be around your family.
Answer:
if ur really good with computers, you could teach ppl who arent so computer saavy abt microsoft word or how to use the internet or something. one of my friends is a complete computer geek and he fixes computers as a hobby. he gets like $120/hr.. i curse his smartness.
Answer:
Costco, they treat their employees so well.
Answer:
I'm sorry to hear about your unfortunate loss. That;s always difficult to cope with.
Considering your age, I dont know where you live but in Texas- it's really hard to find a good paying job at the age of 15. Believe me, I've tried! I'd say try looking into a resturant. The pay isn't all that great but you get tips along with it. Or like someone suggested earlier- tutoring is always another great thing to do at your age. Maybe even baby-sitting!
I hope all goes well for you~
Answer:
