It's actually Korean Jacks.
Spelling was way off there too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
You play with 5 stones/pieces/whatever they're called.
Have you ever seen any children playing with five marbles in Korea? Maybe they're playing Gonggi. In Korea, it's popular among early-teenagers. Needing only a few pebbles and your own hand, it's very easy to play. Usually five Gonggi stones are needed. First, they scatter the stones on the ground. And pick them up one by one. But it doesn't mean just 'pick up'. There are some rules. When you pick them up, you should throw the stone you wanted to pick above the ground. And when the stone is in the air, your hand that threw the stone should pick another stone on the ground. This rather complicated method makes Gonggi funny. Second, when you finish picking up all the pebbles, now you have to gather them in your hand by two stones. Next, continue it by 3, 4. If you finish from 1 to 4, now you have the time to make the score. Hold all the stones in your hand, and throw it softly above, then turn over your hand and receive them. The number of stones means your score. Now, enjoy this with your friends!
This is from a site. I find it hard to explain by typing it.
Answer:
gongi there are a lot of ways to play it... but this is the way i play it:
there are 5 levels in each round.
you get 5 pieces. usually round and has a bit of weight to it.
the first level, you have all the pieces in your hand, throw them down, and you take one of them, which becomes the one you throw up each time.(you can't touch the other pieces though) You throw that one up and while its in the air, you grab one on the ground and catch the one you threw up with the one you picked up in your hand. You do this until all the pieces are in your hand.
the 2nd level, you do all the same things as the 1st, but instead of throwing the one peice and grabbing only one on the ground, you actually grab two at the same time.
the 3rd level you do all the same, except grab 3 at the same time, and then 1.
the 4th level, what i do is, with all 5 in your hand, you throw only one up, slam the 4 remaining down in a pile on the ground, and quickly catch the one in the air. Then, you rethrow the one back up, and grab the 4 on the ground, and catch the one in the air again, all in your hand.
The 5th level, you throw all 5 up, and try to catch them with the back of your hand. You want to cup your hand upwards so you can catch them. It doesn't matter if some fall after you throw them up, but you HAVE to catch the remaining on your hand. What you do it.. after you have them on your hand, you toss them, and grab them quickly in the air. For example... say you threw them, but only got 3 on your hand- you have to catch all the after you toss them again. If you end up failing and only grabbing 2 out of the 3, you don't get any points.
If you do catch all the ones on the back of your hand, you start over again with the levels, so it's still your turn. You keep score by counting how many points you get each round, like how many you catch on the 5th level.
If you fail in any of these levels, your turn automatically ends and its the other person's turn.
In some games, when you fail at a certain level, and the turns go around, and its your turn again, you start at the turn you failed at... However, the way i play it.. we just start the levels over again.
i hope that helped.
p.s. when you throw it.. it can't go higher than your head....

Like xshinhae05x said, there's several ways to play it. The way she described is the most common/original way it is played. Some other 'fun' ways they are played: Babo ('Stupid') Gong-gi, Chunjae ('Genius') Gong-gi, etc...
