rebel xt vs nikon d70s

Question:
i've heard awesome reviews of the canon rebel xt all around, but i do know that in terms of quality and performance, the nikon d70s has the competetive edge.
however, i've heard plenty of complaints about maintaining the d70s, and nightmare stories about repairing it when it breaks. i've never bought a digital slr before, so i realy have no experience in this.
i was wondering if anyone owns either of these cameras, and can let me in on your experience with these cameras. or if you're a camera expert, you can make an argument for either camera...to help me decide (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Answer:
The D70s hasn't broken on me or anything, and I pretty sure breakages due to some sort of malfunction would be covered by Nikon seeing as they took in D70's when their got the blinking green light of death even if it wasn't under warranty anymore.
Plus, I find the rebel XT to be too light, too made completely out of plastics and too small. It just doesn't fit me well, plus.. my nieghbor has every nikon lens ever produced or something, so I can borrow them from him.
Answer:
whichever one you choose, its not going to make much of a difference.
they're both good.
Answer:
felinewong's right. they're both good. i think the way you use the camera is what matters the most. i have the 350D and yes, its really great. consider the lenses also. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
