I've been hearing some pretty negative feedback with Ipods. All my friends own Ipods and they've all pretty much, screwed up at its own will.
My cousin told me that the Ipods are programed to break down just after the warranty or something ?
My friend, he got a Ipod Video for Christmas, and pretty much lasted, 6 months -_______-;; And yes, he didn't drop it during that six months.
Im just waiting before my Ipod Video screws up aswell.

all depends how you take care of your mp3 players. if you take care like a baby than nothing will really happen unless there something wrong with it when it was made or something

works just fine...battery still lasts long compared to when i got it...lsats about 5-6 hours....mind u that the battery only was supposed to lsat 8 hours

my sisters shuffle lasted just over a year (like 1 or 2 months more).. so suss.
and she asked hte appple store and they said your shuffle is unfixable and well out of its warranty period. your only option is to buy a new one.. so i got it and reflashed the firmware and it worked... lazy a-holes at apple... didnt bother to fix it.. not even attempt.. i was angry as hell.

yep if you put the volume up really high, eventually the bass of the earphones will break down, then you get that nasty noise.

i dropped my first nano in a puddle of water within the first 2-3 weeks i got it and that died
but i went to the apple store and they replaced it with a brand new one instantly
the one i have right now i've had for 9 months now and it still works fine
even though i have dropped it countless times...
all i want it to do is last another 9 months an i'm good
lol 75 cents savings a day for that long a period and i could buy another one
so i'm just like meh if it brakes then it brakes
and if an ipod specialist can't do anything a bout it i'll buy something else

I found mine on the floor November 2005, the harddrive had to be replaced (I upgraded to a 30gb hd it was 20gb). Other than that its fine.
