Question:
I used to type Chinese docs on NJ Star word processor then copy and paste on MS word and outlook. However, after my workplace had installed a brand new desktop for me I'm not able to do it anymore. When I copy and paste on MS word/outlook the Chinese characters came out to be squigglies or squares, I tried to adjust the language bar but seems like my new computer doesn't even have that function and my workplace administration won't let me install language bar. Is there other way to do it then? Thanks
Answer:
i use NJStar Communicator.
hm.. maybe your new desktop didn't install the east asian languages, that's why it's in squares??
startcontrol panelregional and language options go into middle tab (languages) click the box for install east asian languages.
Answer:
Your !@#$ed. If the workplace doesn't allow you to adjust the regional settings and install asian language support. The fact that you said it comes out as squares means that the support isn't enabled, and unless its enabled it'll continue to be this way.
On the positive note, if you are EXTREMELY accurate, even though the things come out as squares on the computer your typing from. On a computer with language support enabled, they'd be able to read perfectly what you typed even though your screen shows the characters as squares.
