Question:
Hi, sorry about making a new thread, but i think it's an entire new question than my previous question. I recently just bought a geforce PCI-e video card from tigerdirect and it's shipping right now. The system requirements is 350W power supply. But I JUST FOUND out my system only has a 305W PSU. What should i do? =/ please help. Do i have to get a new one?
Answer:
I asked a similar question on a forum before.
What they told me was to try it out for a week or two. If anything happens like random freezing or random shutdowns then it's most likely the power supply and needs to be replaced with a more powerful one.
In the end, I got a new one and was still having the problem until I took out some old RAM when installing new ones.
Answer:
get a new psu... cuz the psu might damage ur motherboard O.O;;
Answer:
is it possible to not? Can I adjust it so it will use less power?
Answer:
^ummm no... if ur psu is only 305 and vid card needs at least 350, then the 305 will burn out and might short ur mobo...
