Some questions regarding Cell Phones.

Question:
I have a couple of questions.
1] It would it be better for my family to open a new account so we'll be able to get free new phones or get a new contract with the company because our contract expired already?
2] If the company no longer carries the phone that I want, does that mean that I have to buy the phone online instead?
3] These are the 6 phones I've been considering on getting. Which one do you think is the best as in quality and such. I'm also looking for the ones that can play mp3 ringtones. My current provider is T-mobile.

Answer:
i think it's same either way since when you renew a contract you usually gain some kind of credit to get a sale on a new phone... like when you already have a plan and you get another phone from that company, you have to pay the full retail price but when you renew your contract they take off $100 or so... at least that's what the local t-mobile store did for me. also, i don't think any of the phones you listed you can get for free even with a new plan.
out of those phones i like sony ericsson w550 best... they're made to play mp3. btw the second phone and last phones are CDMA so you can't use them with t-mobile.
Answer:
you usually get a better deal if you sign a new contract, but its all the same. Sometimes when the phone isnt carried by the provider, you might have a lot of trouble finding an old model online unless if its used.
shinhwasan is right, even though i am a big samsung fan, i would go with the SE w550 is the only phone made to play mp3s.
Answer:
The last phone doesn't work with T-Mobile because it's CDMA & doesn't take SIM cards. The Samsung P777 is for Cingular and unless you get an unlocked phone, it won't work. Did you just pick these phones because they look nice ?
Answer:
samsung p777 has a song limit. or i thought. like everyone else said, w550. but expandable memory...
