I find that I'm often the one rejecting others simply because I can't work up the courage to tell people I have feelings for them.
I often avoid putting myself in situations where I could be turned down.

^ Same here. I've rejected guys but have yet to go through the same pain. I'm just too shy to tell a crush that I like him. I shut myself down with the thoughts that he'll never date me before he can make up his mind for himself.
Thankfully I don't have a crush now, but a guy I know has a major crush on me. I just hope he doesn't ask me out.

I'd give you a high-five, but that's a bit impossible. For me, somewhere in my mind is the image of the one. So as long as the guy isn't what I'm looking for, I don't want to lead them on by giving them a chance.
