Umm.. well in about a less than a month it will be one year since I went out with her (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif) and this is the first time I've been with someone that long (but then again, I have only ever had 1 gf before her lol)..
Well.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) since it's been one year, I want to make it really really special.. Along with some other things I plan to give, the main thing I'm thinking of doing is making an A3 poster. This is what I'm needing ideas for (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sweatingbullets.gif)
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/tears.gif) I'm horrible when it comes to decorating, etc. but I really want her to be like WOW! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif) when she sees it..

try lots of cute things, glitter, i like to glue gun on sequins and stuff haha.
and maybe drawing cute pictures?

An A3 poster is like the same size as putting two A4 papers side by side I think.. so yeah.. =]

well one of my guy friends, a few years back.
he was asking one of my girlfriends out to prom.
and he put hershey's kisses in a trail all over her house, starting from the door
and finally into her room
and then he had the trail leading up to the bed with a poster
and on the poster he made up like this rhyming poem and he asked her to prom like that.
maybe you can do some rhyming too haha
on my 100th day with my bf, i bought those valentine heart candies
and counted 100 of them
and stuck em on a poster board
and wrote out happy 100 days! using 100 hearts ^^

lol Rain, A4 paper is the typical paper that you print on, it's the typical size of the sheets that you get in school (worksheets, handouts, etc.) I don't know how to explain, but yeah, hope you get the point =]

to the topicstarter...do something cute...or lyk..draw a pic of u 2 sitting together in the bottom middle and then in [speech] bubbles at the top ..draw/write the special events or special things tht u did together. and then sumwhere in a big bubble write a poem tht u wrote
e.g. she calls u mr ducky then draw a duck in one of the bubbles. ------tht sounded so lame LOL

this just my thought since my bestfriend did this to his gf...for their one year.
start getting 365 small things that makes up your relationship....it doesn't have to be words...it could be anything...it be sweet.
or fold 365 stars and put it in a heart jar.
or cut out pictures your most embarassing/cute/fun/romantic moments pictures on the poster with a poem?
or give her a dozen roses with the poster (although that is really common)
or go to build a bear and make her a bear with a happy one year shirt on? (sorry if this sounds corny)
or take her out somewhere and have her count 365 stars after having her down counting surprise her with something.

Yknow what'd look good if you can't draw (like I can't) get photos of both of you or one of each where your head is similar in size and then cut just the heads out, then make cut out bodies from paper (really basic arm leg torso shape google it maybe) and then color in the body with clothes and make a background.
I did that for my boyfriend a while ago and used color paper for the grass, sun, car etc. Writing reasons of why you love someone gets tiring after a while (for me because i'm lazy maybe haha) but the bodies look really cute. If you like PM me and I can email you a pic of what it looked like.

If you ask me, I think that you shouldn't be seeking advice for your own creative gifts. They are suppose to be from your own imagination and your own heart. It is the thought that matters!
So, close this thread, and close your laptop. Stop worrying about how much she'll like your gift and start worrying about how much you can show your own appreciation for your relationship into a gift (and regardless of what anyone would say, one gift, one object (even a wedding ring) could or should never show a person how much love you have for that person).
