Question:
I've been happy for weeks now because I found a way to control my anger, anxiety and depression which comes everyday of our lives. I was happy until thursday.
At school I have openly expressed that I am not going to prom as I think it's just a waste of time and money that I can spend somewhere else much better. This was until my friend told me that I should ask our other friend, who's the prettiest girl in my class in everyone's opinion to go to prom because she said she already told her that if I ask our friend she would say yes. I repeated that I am not interested to go to prom... then I changed my mind. Suddenly I got so happy that she wants to go to prom with me. When I asked her she said no. I felt like I a toyed kid for a moment. Nevertheless, I know that my friend didn't want to do this intentionally. I know my friend who asked me to ask her wasn't expecting her to say no. I don't know the reason behind it however but I trust them. I was hesitant to post my problem online but my method of controlling my anger, anxiety and depression isn't working on this one. I thought it was something I'm just gonna forget about before the weekend came but it's been stressing me since friday. It sucks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tears.gif)

I don't quite understand what you want as a response, but I suggest that you 'go with the heart.' Do whatever you feel is best for you currently. Go if you'd like to, stay if you don't want to.

Rejection does suck bro. You should find out why she said no, if not i'm sure there'll be other girls. Is this your senior year? If so, you have to go to prom, you won't regret it. Junior prom isn't that big of a deal. Anyway, good luck

when I was a senior guys went crazy near prom time... there'd be a rejection here, a date set there. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) don't worry! some of my close friends asked a girl out 3/4 times until they finally got accepted. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) its nothing bad or weird at all getting rejected right before prom. lol and girls start to get desperate too by the end. haha
guys at my school had it way worse than you... I know a few who got accepted then like 2 days later the girl would change her mind. lol~ and it happened vise versa to the girls too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) just go for it.

hmm.. to be completely honest, i haven't been rejected before. In every relationship i've been to, i never asked for a date.. it simply came to that point when me and my friend were dating and that is why i really feel uncomfortable being rejected. maybe i'm looking at it in a narrow and inexperienced perspective.

Even if she's a sophomore? I don't know why but sophomore girls are prettier than the older ones. I guess we've been overused by our AP teachers that's why us (the juniors and seniors) look like we've been dragged by the years.

ask any girl from freshmen to senior, to girls from other school. Like people said, girls love being asked to go to proms, it's flattering. Second a rejection is nothing, that just mean you gotta go ask another girl. So do it! Ask every girl you know, ranking them from highest preference to lowest, meaning the ones you don't want, save them for emergency.
