Question:
ok so there's this guy. i liked him like 2 1/2 years- almost 3 and he has NO IDEA that i like him. [im really good @ showin' that i don't like him- well only as friends- hehe] Recently I decided I wasn't goin' to prom this year cause i don't have a date. However, many of my friends have asked me to just ask him to prom. I mean i feel that when i ask him, he'll feel pressured and my close friend likes him too, so I don't want to feel that I'm turnin' my back to her. [even though i liked him more than she did]
did any of you grlz asked a guy to prom last year or GOING to ask this year?
it'd be so much easier if a guy asked me...i guess there's still time. i mean my prom isn't until june...but i KNOW im not gonna get asked.

I think you should do it. I'm a guy and this girl asked me it wasn't awkward at all. Cept I rejected her X_X but then again I made sure she didn't feel bad. Also I didn't know her at all but anyways you should do it.

I asked one of my guy friend last year, and I was really nervous and scared. lol I asked him on MSN though because I don't always see him..and he said yes lolol. Anyways, I would suggest you ask the guy in person and if he happens to say no then it's not the end of the world (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) . You can always go prom with your friends.

First off, friends over guys any day. The first thing you need to do is tell yours friend you're asking him and find out if she's okay with it. As for liking him more, that's not something you can gauge.
Now, to asking him. If you're friends, I see nothing wrong to asking him to prom as friends and I doubt he will either. The first thing you should probably do is find out if he has someone in mind to save you the possible rejection. If your looking at this as the stepping stone in revealing your feelings, you basically need courage and that's about it. 3 years is a long time for a secret crush and so not worth your time considering your progress. Hence, you should ask him to prom as a date, not friends, to get the relationship moving, or closure. We all gotta go through the critical period.
All in all, I say have some balls, and GO FOR IT!

But yknow..just go for it. Just ask him & get it over with.
It's better to know the answer than not know it forever...
I dont suggest asking online..it's easier for him to decline.
If face-to-face is not possible, Phone is the next best way.
