hmm i dont know where to start so i guess i'll start from the beginning. there's this girl that goes to my university and i see her everywhere around campus. i usually see her in the dining hall because i guess we get hungry at the same time a lot. like seriously- it's kinda weird because if i decide to go eat, she's there or she'll walk in like 5 minutes after me. the thing is, this girl is drop dead gorgeous and i want to talk to her but i dont really have opportunities because she's always with her friends and i'm with mine and i dont have any classes with her. would it be too weird if i just walked up to her one day while she's sitting with her friends and open with something like you keep catching my eye so I had to come over and get your name or something along those lines. i dont know the girl at all and im sure she notices that im there too because we've made eye contact a few times- actually a lot of times but we've never talked to each other. so do you think that's a good idea or is there something better?

try to find a chance to get some isolated time with her. perhaps she comes in first on her own and waits for her friends? you can then go up to her and ask if you could sit at her table, and mention how you noticed you two eat at the same time. perhaps carry a conversation about the food and work your way into name, major, etc.
working your way into a group is an uphill battle. either they like you, or they dont. do you know any of her friends or take classes with them? that might help too.

(what ever that something is it better be good) Once you got the attention of the group befriend them and start picking on your target. Say things like How do you roll with her, you can dress her up but cant take her anywhere ect ect. This show the group you are not hitting on her, she will feel like you dont like her so then she will have to prove her self to you.
