Hmm... My boyfreind and I been together for 2 years and up. My boyfriend joined national guard like 4-5 months ago. Even though hes national guard there might still be risks that he will go to Iraq because he's in infantry.. :[ Even though I totally do not support him going there, I'm still willing to wait for him even if though it's hard. I'm just wondering if anyone feels the same way as me. Is anyone dating someone that decided to join anything with the military or the things I just listed already? I hope I'm not alone in this. :/

i used to date someone who joined the coast guard. it was hard for awhile, but we broke up. not because of the coast guard or anything. just because he was a jackass. yeah, sorry i cant really help you out lol. all i think you should do is pray he wont go to Iraq :]

I haven't experienced that, but I'm sure if someone I cared for a lot joined the army or something, I would probably be really worried as well. Just pray that he'll be safe, I guess. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) There isn't much else you can do..

i use to date someone in the marines...we broke up now..but we still talk though. even though he's in hawaii and there's a four hour time difference. and he said he was going to iraq in april. just don't know when yet. and it would be like 2 years since he joined. so maybe your boyfriend wont leave until another 2 yearss...if that would make you feel better.
when we were dating, it was hard because we barely saw each other and we were busy doing our own things. we would spend time with each other when we have a chance.
i don't think its gonna be that hard for you. you shouldn't be too worried. just think about it in a positive way. sorry im not helping much.
