i think you just have to make her comfortable enough to actually start talking. i'm sure she's not really a quiet type of person, because no one really is, maybe she's just shy at first? i'm really quiet myself, but i talk a lot when i'm with my friends, who i'm comfortable with. after you noticed she seems more at ease with you, you can start making her laugh and other stuff.
