I think it's easier for the girl to fall in love.. This might be a generalization (so don't bash me), but I think girls are more caught up in the moment, trusting, and emotional.
But I think when guys find girls they truly love, they fall deeper in love than the girls. In real life, I've heard of so many guys willing to throw away everything just to be with their loved ones. I think guys are able to go against their parents to marry who they love, but girls are more likely to obey their parents.
