Question:
Timing and environment have influences on love. If you met your ex (or ex-crush) when you guys were both going through serious problems with your family and your life, then maybe the chances of you guys getting together and making it through wouldn't be so high. If you met your ex at a different time, do you think things will change? Maybe if you didn't know him then and yall were from different places, then the person he/she hurted wouldn't be you. It would be someone else. And he/she would learn not to do the same mistakes again when he/she meets you. Maybe if you and your ex met each other 6 years later instead, then you two would be more mature and know how to handle the situation.
But then again, whatever happens happens.
If your first true relationship ended because of some problems, yall would both gained the lesson to never do such a thing again. Then, as an effect of this lesson, your ex's second relationship succeeded. In other words, because of you and his relationship, his second relationship is healthy.
Just a thought I had a few weeks ago.

You choose your own path and turning back doesnt make it any better or worse. It wouldnt make much of a difference if you met your ex at a different time.
I would rather not dwell on the past anyway. What's done is done and we should look on to move forward then run backwards.

That totally makes you decide whether you're going to change yourself for others or not.
For example, being selfish. Not everyone likes selfish people, but there are a select few that do. Even though the majority may not, those individuals still need some loving (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
