I personally always thought to be loved you have to be understood or at least have the slightest notion or rather effort of wanting to understand them, or else how can you show that you love them?
What gives a person the feeling of being loved?

That way of thinking is degrading to women. Thinking of women as some foreign object to posses (i.e.-love) than a human being.

understanding --> logic/mental/intellect
He seems to be under the popular impression that women experience the world through emotions, relationships, and their hearts rather than with their heads. That they'd rather be loved rather than understood (yes it's possible to love someone even though you don't understand them....look at parent-child relationships for example). Men on the other hand (according to him) think with their heads more than their hearts. Although if you ask me...a lot of men just think with their dicks ha ha.

never heard the quote before, but i bet it was by some guy who thinks he was being all sentimental and understanding of women. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
