I'm asian and yea its cool being asian but sometimes being asian is hard.... soo much drama with asians at my school and yea crap like that ...
ALOTTT of asians at my school (girls/guys) ACT really gangster, like trying to pick up fights with people, cussing tremendously, etc ....and to ME its really annoying, so basically i feel out of place with some asians cuz i act totally normal and me~ and so we don't get along :X

well you have to take into consideration where they were raised. gangster life is a very attractive lifestyle for those with lacking family figures and born into hard lives. rebels/misfits band together.
however, there's also those who just act like that out of their own will. don't worry, most don't grow up do anything worthwhile in life. hopefully in college (that's an if) they'll realize being gangster wannabes is nothing but a farce.

It was really annoying, and the annoying thing is that the guys are SSSSSSSSOOOOOOOO short!! They would hang out outside our school (all girls school) to pick up gangster wannabe chicks... and they went around smirking, causing fights and squating down thus blocking the pathway... I just wanted to kick them...
Every second day you would hear gossip about whoever slept with whoever, or whoever dumped whoever and then whoever cheated on whoever with whoever. Girls would physically fight with each other for some gangster dude and the teachers had to stop them, and when they have fights after school in public the cops would come.. it was SSSSSOOOOO annoying.
Anyway, you just have to learn to put up with it, and in many cases I find it quite entertaining LOL.. at least you can look at them for fashion advice - just dress the opposite (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I understand where the topic starter is comin from but I like your reply. Its pretty much the thoughts running through my head while I read everyone's responses. Everyone grew up idolizing something/someone or grew up in a different lifestyle than others, therefore creating what we were growing up. As time passes everyone will experience different things and meet new ppl. Some will grow out of those stages and some will grow up holding on to what they were in the past. I think it's not a bother in my year. Yes, there are some gangster wannabe's in my year, but it's not as worse as the ones younger than me, such as the year 9's and 10's.
They do bother me, though. When they don't talk in full English and just.. I don't know, they just irritate me. My brother was never one, and my sister was never one. I haven't really been one. I admit, I use to not talk in pure English online, but after a few months, I went back to English.. now I can't read anything of the non-English stuff. I was brought up as a very Australian person, but I still have Asian-ness in me. 3
