Question:
I find that excuse to be bullsh*t when it comes to calling an s/o.
I mean how can you FORGET to call someone that you talk to EVERYDAY?
It's not like I told him oh call me back in 30 minutes because then I would understand if he forgot, sometimes you just lose track of time. But in the case of calling when you come back home from a late night of hanging with friends...he always calls me to tell me he got home and to say goodnight..but a few times, he didn't and it's not like he's afraid of waking me up because he usually calls at any odd hour. So how do you sometimes forget to call someone you normally call all the time? Especially when it's to put someone's mind at ease about you getting home safe and sound? He says it's not a big deal because he didn't go out for too long but to me it is and it gets me mad that he can't see my side of things. He might as well say he forgot to brush his teeth. Do you think it's ever a valid excuse?

Anyways...I'm assuming that the he you're refering to is your bf? If he is well, he really might have been busy, or maybe something else is up...if he has this excuse repeatedly, I suggest you talk to him, he probably has his reasons.

and now he calls me all the time.

if thats the case then call him to see if somethings wrong u noe, it could be that he had some trouble or didnt feel like calling, its just a few hours isnt it?
