KANSAS CITY, Kan. - A woman was thankful Thursday for her life and a pair of size nine shoes she used to fight off two robbers.
The 60-year-old woman had just pulled into her garage and pushed the button to close her garage door when two masked men stopped the door and burst in.
They pointed guns at her, she told KCTV5 News, and demanded money, so she reached for the only thing she could find - her shoe - and smacked one of the men in the face.
I laid on the horn and I popped (him) right in the face, she said.
They took off as she continued to honk, and they were still on the run Thursday morning.
She thought there might have been a third person involved, possibly in a red car, because the men got away quickly.
