Woman Loses Battle To Turn Dead Dad Into Diamond

Question:
what the... o____________O
i didnt even know that was possible.
Answer:
^ it's possible... but it's also a question that's been debated for a while...
some people rather have a traditional burial or cremation and scatter it rather than make it out of something so material-like. Especially a diamond. And it's natural to question the girl on whether or not she plans to keep it as a memory of her father or use it to show off/hock it for money. =/
Answer:
how do u make diamonds outta dead ppl? o.0

Answer:
wtf?o.o
making diamonds out of dead people?
that duaghter is so disrespectful. U.U
oh yea.
I've heard my grandparents saying this.
if they found diamond or pearl like thing in their ashes,
it means that they must had done a lot of good deeds to have achieve it.
Not sure whether if its true.
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) thats so cool. i wonder if they can do it to animal ashes... LOL turn my dog into a diamond. jkkk
but thats pretty cool. always have ur parents with u i guess?
^ all you need is carbon fiber from the person/animal to turn it into a diamond. I think they're making a Beethoven Van Ludwig diamond from the remains left from his hair? It's going to be auctioned off for LOOOOTS of money!! I've been to the website before. I was trying it out and messing around. You can even reserve a diamond of yourself once you die. It's very expensive though! I think mine came out to be over 30,000USD... but I like the fancy stuff.. hahaha =] Oh also, the diamonds come in really pretty colors. Mine was going to be a yellow diamond. Very pretty!!!~
Answer:
Wow I did not know that was possible...I can just imagine a korean drama...where the girl dies and he wears a diamond ring on his neck and her body is missing...okay I'm getting too ahead of myself...but I think it's a nice gesture - I mean a diamond is better than ashes right? I guess in a way you could really be with the person forever or have something to remember them by. It's a bit weird...but makes sense.
Another note ~ ppl who are saying that she wants to sell the diamond. I'm pretty sure that's not it...if she's actually paying for lawyers to fight to make him into a diamond, and the fact that these diamonds cost A LOT of money to make...and it's not even a natural made diamond...probably not worth that much - who wants a dead person in a diamond? I wouldn't pay for that...esp if I didn't know the person (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
Answer:
I think it's cool. As long she doesn't sell it.
If she's malicious, then it's probably good for her to lose the battle.
But I dunno.
Answer:
that's something new. i've never heard of anyone being turned in to a diamond after they died, but i guess, if you want to keep someone with you at all times...turn them in to jewelery so you can wear them? as long as you don't sell them it's fine.
Answer:
wth? u can throw a dead person's ashes into the wind but u're not allowed to make it into a diamond to wear with u always?
n ppl who say if she's gonna sell it, u do know that she would have to pay to get the diamond made, right?
Answer:
T-T if her dad turned diamond someone might steal her dad T-T;;
Answer:
wow i wanna do this!! i heard with one body you can make around 6-7?? diamonds.. so ima make one or two diamond and bury the rest of the ashes..
Answer:
being a diamond in death.
that's a cool thought, but in practice, a little disgusting
and the diamond wont even be a pretty one anyway
b/c if you make synthetic diamonds, some of the gases get trapped in there (usually NO2 gas)
and real diamonds have millions of years for the NO2 gas (and other gases) to seep out of the diamond
and turn a crystal clear color
but synthetic diamonds are made too quickly so the gases cant escape
so it has a yellow-tinge to it (NO2 leaves a yellow color. if it was a diffnt gas, it'll be a diffnt color)
but in the natural world, the yellow-tinged ones are more valuable..
so..iono
and some more random info,
there's plenty of diamond in the world
but a company holds monopoly over them
and they release diamonds into the world a few at a time
so that it'll keep their value
Answer:
Wow, that just sounds... pretty strange. I dunno if I would want to be turned into a diamond after I pass away.
Answer:
This is sooo cool... i want to be turn into one after i die...
LOL!!
niway, i dont think it's disrespectful, unless she sells it later on.
