Sheriff's investigators are warning residents and local school officials about a man wearing a bra who tried to lure a 17-year-old boy into his car.
It happened about 8:40 a.m. Wednesday at a school bus stop at 24th Avenue Northeast and South Bay Road. The victim attends North Thurston High School and was waiting for a bus.
He reported it to school officials, who then called the Thurston County Sheriff's Office.
The man, who also wore a salmon-colored sweater, first offered the boy a cigarette and a ride. He then made a sexually suggestive gesture. When the victim declined his invitations, the man lifted his sweater, showing off his purple bra and chest, according to police reports.
This one here is clearly somebody trying to lure somebody into a vehicle for an illicit reason, sheriff's Chief Criminal Deputy Dan Kimball said. Obviously, when we see this we're very concerned.
Kimball said the case would have been reported to the media sooner, but there was a delay in filing the report, which he is inquiring about.
The man's car passed the victim before stopping in a driveway to turn around. The car was a gray or silver sedan with a broken rear window. The suspect was described as white, of medium build and in his mid- to late-20s. He was wearing the sweater, bra and a black do-rag, Kimball said.
His description has been passed on to area schools, their bus drivers and other law enforcement agencies, Kimball said.
He said detectives had reviewed their files on registered sex offenders in the county and have not found any potential matches.

Yeah. Not funny at all. Rather disturbing. I hope he gets caught and put in jail, away from the kids. I'm sure the inmates will show him a good time, like he wanted from the kids.
