ST. JOHN'S, N.L. -- A Newfoundland woman who spent $300 for an iPod on EBay only to receive an empty iPod box has received most of her money back.
PayPal, which handles financial transactions for the Internet auction site, recovered $280 from a seller whose name wasn't made public and has returned it to Mary Ann Butt.
Butt bought the iPod as a Christmas present for her 17-year-old son but was stunned when the package arrived and inside was an empty box. Thinking it was a mistake, Butt sent an e-mail to the seller, who argued that the product listing on EBay was just for the box, not the actual iPod.

Actually, people DO sell boxes. A lot of things are sold on ebay, and heck, people buy them. Who is to blame? I don't know. For the lady's stupidity or the seller's slyness.
