what do u think about the honda element?

Question:
cause i am thinking of buying it
Answer:
Its ideal for the outdoors type of person, or someone who needs to haul around a moderate amount of stuff. Ride is ok, the back seats are a little unconfortable after longer periods of time. The interior is designed to be rugged, suitable to be dirty and such so i guess theres not too much flash in that area, although it does look somewhat appealing. The power in the car is decent, i think its like 160hp like 2L engine and stuff. I took a 2005 for a testdrive, it was nice.
The best thing i liked is the legroom in the rear seats. The car looks a little small from the outside, but on the inside it kind of feels humongous.
Answer:
to me, the design looks ugly.
Answer:
I think the Element is a nice practical SUV. The best thing about the 2006 is that they finally had the flat gray body panels painted (EX-P model), so it looks much nicer. The AWD model is a plus, especially if it snows in Philly (I'm assuming it does). Not as many people like the styling, but I like it. Best of all, you can't go wrong with Honda reliability.
Answer:
try to search more, you'll find better compact SUV's
Answer:

Answer:

someone i know has an element and like the tire was defective and it ended up breaking his brake line...so the brakes didn't work...
luckily it was really early in the morning and no cars so he was able to slow down
Answer:
Teh box car. I hate the design. Can't say anything about how well it drives because I'd never get inside that thing. Heard it's pretty roomy though.
Answer:
Its like indian food, its an acquired taste.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I heard it sells quite well. Not fantastic, but enough for Honda to keep planning sales of this car for years to come. If I needed to buy a useful car, I don't think I would mind to buy it. My friend's parents own it and they use it to haul things around and they like the car very much.
Answer:
When I went camping last weekend my friend and I went diving, I had another friend use his Element to transport me and my friend between the beach and our campsite. The great thing about the Element is when you remove the rear seats, you can hose down the cargo bay. It was nice to have because rather than getting out of our wetsuits at the beach, we sat in the cargo bay with our wetsuits on and went to the campsite to get out of our gear. When we came back home from the weekend of camping, we just hosed it down and scrubbed out the abalone smell from the car.
If the Element was built on a rear wheel drive platform, it'd be more appealing, but it's still a decent car. If you ever do outdoor stuff, it's a great car to have. There were a few other kayakers and divers who had Elements at the beach when we were out there.
