Question:
my friend (the one with the lamborghini gallardo) got tired of daily driving his truck so he went out and bought an s2k (i know i hate him too, i wish i could do that). so now that the engines all broken in i suggest that we take it to an event. i picked a gymkhana event for him because i thought it would teach him good car control, then after that we could go to the track. so he agrees and he lets me share the car with him at the gymkhana. 1 car, 2 drivers, 2 different run groups. however when we got there it turns out the track double booked the balcony (where the gymkhana was supposed to take place) but instead they let us run willow springs w00t w00t!! along with that we got classroom instruction. the only down side was there was only one run group so we had to switch off, which cut our driving time in half. oh well i cant complain, getting to drive a new s2k on willow springs for only $50. it was a lot of fun, i just wish he had gotten that alignment i told him to get before the track. the s2k needed some more front camber. i was surprised by the brakes, they lasted up until the last few laps. i was expecting them to start fading sooner. the only sucky thing was during one of my sessions i forgot to take the traction control off (good i hate that stuff (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) ) til the last few laps. i was wondering why it had no power out of turns and wasnt rotating like i expected with the gas. the s2k was a lot of fun and its pretty easy to drive. the first run out the rear was a little loose so i messed with the tire pressures and that fixed it. i was only driving like 7-8/10's because there's no way i was going to drive my friends new (1200 mile by the time we got the track) s2k off the track. anyways on to the pics

yeah $50 is cheap. its normally 130-150 for a full day. its was only $50 becuase they double booked the auto x area. so they let us drive the big track instead. the track is like 2.5 hours from my house

yah, but unlike kids such as yourself....there are people who actually were ENTHUSIASTS for old cars like the hachiroku and fc3s long before initial d came out.
